SOMETHING DIFFERENT

SOMETHING DIFFERENT

These works are primarily one large photograph divided into smaller pieces then pieced back together.  However, there are several that use numerous individual photographs.  Each piece is sprayed with a protective coating and individually mounted on Compbond (a 3mm thick aluminum composite material), then mounted on a larger board with a wood frame and wire on the back for hanging.

Shapes and Shadows

Shapes and Shadows

The following images are more abstract than most of my other photographs.  Some are taken of people through frosted glass in a hotel room, while others are shadows on the ground and walls and doors.  Several times I have taken individual images and mounted them on Compbond, sprayed with a protective coating, and then mounted them all on a larger sheet of the same.

Playing Around

Playing Around

I have began playing around with existing photographs.  This involves printing differently which has allowed the ink to stay wet.  This sometimes gives a desired effect,  while other times I physically play with the ink using a tissue.  I  then take a photograph of this print and can then again play around this time using the computer.  Even though I like all of these photographs in their original form I also like the results with using this different process,  plus it is always fun to try something new and different!
